We offer two options of Warsaw sightseeing by Retro Fiat: ,,Must see” and ,,Jewish History”. Both includes hotel pick-up, professional private guide, lunch at a mikbar, 1 vodka shot and memorable photos from the tour that you’ll receive via email.
1) Warsaw “Must see”
The tour starts with a visit in the Warsaw Old Town – the crucial part of the city. You’ll find many important spots there, among others: Royal Castle, Sigismund Column, Main Market Square or St. John Cathedral.
Then you’ll explore Royal Baths – a picturesque area with beautiful green valleys, famous Chopin monument, numerous sculptures and, most if all, the Greek revivalist Palace on the Isle. Afterwards, our Retro Fiat will take you to the Palace of Science and Culture, where you’ll hear a fascinating history of Warsaw.
Prague District is another crucial point during our retro Warsaw sightseeing. It’s an area without skyscrapers but with inimitable, artistic atmosphere with climatic restaurants, live music, murals and climatic tenement houses around.
2) Jewish History in Wrasaw
Although the World War II devastated Jewish society and culture in the city, there are still some remnants of this incredible culture. Maybe they are not so visible but you just need to know where to look for. Our Retro Fiat will take you to the most important spots connected with Jewish History in the city. Polish Fiat 125-p is simply a legend of Polish motorization from the communist era. Everybody knows how it looks like but few can tell about its history. What is so special about this Warsaw must see?
First car was ready to buy in November 1967. Soon, it became a symbol of prosperity of communist authorities and an element of PRL period pop-culture. It even became a movie star showing up in TV series ,,Zmiennicy” and in video-clips of Polish pop stars. What’s more, countries like Germany, France or UK were willingly buying Fiats in 70’s and 80’s. Overall, country produced almost 1,5 million Polish Fiats. Nowadays, we can find original cars in numerous museums around the country, being objects of desire for car lovers.
If you visit Warsaw, you simply need to get into this car and feel inimitable atmosphere of good old times!
Jelcz 043 was a real king of Polish roads during the 60’s. However, everybody know the car under its nickname – cucumber. It’s due to its characteristic, oval and oblong shape. It became a real hit just after first cucumber entered Polish roads. Not only it was cheap, but also “very” capacious having seats for 8 passenger and a lot of space for luggage. Cucumber still has numerous fans in Europe and having a ride in such vehicle it’s a real privilege!
