ABOUT THE TOUR
You can chose either private or group tour from Warsaw to Treblinka. Private tour includes pick-up from your hotel in Warsaw city cnetre. By choosing group tour, you’ll meet with the driver at the meeting point (Palace of Culture and Science). The tour starts at 9:00 am or 10:00 am (only private). One-way ride from Warsaw to Treblinka takes around 1,5 hour.
If you book a group tour you’ll stop at the Korczak’s Monument on your way to Treblinka. It’s a historical memorial of famous teacher who set up an Orphanage in Warsaw’s Ghetto and visited Treblinka with his students. Then, you’ll visit the Umschlagplatz, from where Jews from Warsaw Ghetto were being transported to concentration camps across the country.
Upon arrival to Treblinka, you’ll get entrance tickets to the museum. Your driver (with deep historical knowledge) will serve as your personal guide leading you through all exhibitions and significant spots in Treblinka. You’ll discover three parts of the former concentration camp including:
- Treblinka I – Death Camp
- Treblinka II – Forced Labor Camp
- Museum Exhibition with short testimonial film and several original objects from the camp.
During the tour you’ll walk among remains of the former Labor Camp, were around 700 000 of inmates lost their lives. One of the most important object in Treblinka camps is an impressive memorial made by more than 17,000 stones. You’ll also visit the historical museum with exposition presenting camps’ layout and its miniature. The visit will last for around 2 hours.
Once you finish your visit in Treblinka, our driver will be waiting for you and will take you back to Warsaw. On your way back, you’ll stop at a local restaurant with traditional food (only during private tours). Extermination camps in Treblinka near Warsaw were the second biggest camps established by Nazi Germany on Polish territories during the World War II, alongside with Auschwitz-Birkenau. The camps operated between 1942 and 1943. It is estimated that from 7 000 up to 9 000 Jews were killed in gas chambers in Treblinka extermination camp. Construction of the camps was part of the “Reinhardt” action. Germans were sending Jews from Polish ghettos (including Warsaw ghetto) there forcing them to work in inhumane conditions.
Although Jews in Treblinka managed to create a plotting inside the camps, only around 400 of them somehow escaped the place.

There are several things that you should know before going on Treblinka tour
- During our Treblinka tour from Warsaw you’ll visit a memorial place, where around 700 000 people were murdered. Considering that this is a memorial place, it’s necessary to behave and dress appropriately.
- Also, It’s not recommended to visit the museum with children under 14, as the character of the place can be traumatic.
- There are no coffee shops or restaurants in Treblinka so it’s good to take some snacks.
- During the tour, you’ll be mostly walking in the open air so it’s better to take a waterproof jacket as the weather in Poland can be quite unpredictable.
There are several ways to go on Treblinka tour from Warsaw.
By train: trains depart from Warsaw central station and go to Malikinia or Prostyn stations (around 5 km from Treblinka). From there you need to take an additional taxi to the museum in Treblinka.
By public bus: there is one line shuttling between Warsaw and Malkinia, from where you’ll need to take additional taxi. However, the line shuttles only few times a day.
